  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup rolled oats
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 3 cups sliced apples
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a bowl, cream the butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
  3. Add the flour, oats, cinnamon, and salt, mixing until combined.
  4. Press half of the mixture into the bottom of a greased baking dish.
  5. In another bowl, toss the apples with lemon juice, brown sugar, and cornstarch.
  6. Spread the apple mixture over the crust.
  7. Top with the remaining crumb mixture.
  8. Bake for 40-45 minutes until golden brown.
  9. Allow to cool before slicing into bars.
