  • 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour

  • 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg

  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1 package pie crusts (or homemade)
  • 1 cup streusel topping

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).
  2. In a large bowl, combine sliced apples, sugar, flour, cinnamon, nutmeg, salt, and lemon juice. Toss to coat.
  3. Place one pie crust in the pie dish. Fill with the apple mixture and dot with butter.
  4. Cover with the second pie crust or sprinkle with streusel topping.
  5. Bake for 15 minutes, then reduce the temperature to 350°F (175°C) and continue baking for 30-40 minutes, until the apples are tender and the crust is golden.
