Ingredients

  • 2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 cup mozzarella cheese, shredded
  • 1/2 cup fresh basil, chopped
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper

Instructions

  1. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat.
  2. Season chicken breasts with garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
  3. Cook chicken in the skillet until browned and cooked through, about 5-7 minutes on each side.
  4. Remove chicken and set aside.
  5. In the same skillet, add heavy cream and bring to a simmer.
  6. Stir in mozzarella cheese and basil until melted and combined.
  7. Add chicken back to the skillet and coat with the sauce.
  8. Serve warm, garnished with additional basil if desired.
