Sausage Potato Soup

A warm and hearty Sausage Potato Soup made healthy with turkey bacon and chicken ham.

Ingredients

  • 4 cups diced potatoes
  • 1 cup turkey bacon, chopped
  • 1 cup chicken ham, diced
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 4 cups chicken broth
  • 1 teaspoon thyme
  • 1 teaspoon pepper
  • 1 cup heavy cream

Instructions

  1. In a large pot, cook the turkey bacon until crispy. Remove and set aside.
  2. Add onions and garlic to the pot and sauté until softened.
  3. Add diced potatoes, chicken ham, and chicken broth; bring to a boil.
  4. Reduce heat and simmer for 15 minutes, or until potatoes are tender.
  5. Stir in heavy cream, thyme, and pepper. Cook for an additional 5 minutes.
  6. Serve hot, garnished with crispy bacon bits.

Notes

  • This soup can be adjusted with different types of vegetables based on preference.
  • For a vegetarian version, substitute turkey bacon with mushrooms.
