Savory Slow Cooker Baked Ziti

A deliciously hearty and savory baked ziti made in a slow cooker with turkey bacon and chicken ham.

  • 1 pound ziti pasta
  • 8 ounces turkey bacon, chopped
  • 8 ounces chicken ham, diced
  • 3 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 2 cups marinara sauce
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 cups water

Instructions

  1. Cook the ziti pasta according to package instructions until al dente.
  2. In a skillet, cook the turkey bacon until crispy. Add the chicken ham and sauté for a few minutes.
  3. In the slow cooker, combine cooked pasta, bacon, chicken ham, marinara sauce, Italian seasoning, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper.
  4. Add the water and stir to combine.
  5. Top with mozzarella cheese.
  6. Cover and cook on low for 4 hours.
  7. Serve hot, garnished with fresh basil if desired.

Notes

  • For extra flavor, add grated Parmesan cheese before serving.
  • Experiment with different types of cheese for a unique twist.
