Simple and Classic Blueberry Muffins

  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 cup milk
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 1/2 cups fresh blueberries

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a muffin tin or line it with muffin liners.
  2. In a large bowl, combine the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
  3. In another bowl, whisk together the melted butter, milk, eggs, and vanilla extract.
  4. Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and stir until just combined. Gently fold in the blueberries.
  5. Divide the batter evenly among the muffin cups, filling them about 2/3 full.
  6. Bake for 18-20 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  7. Let the muffins cool in the pan for 5 minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.

Notes

  • For extra moist muffins, do not overmix the batter.
  • Feel free to substitute frozen blueberries if fresh ones are not available.
