Tasty Baked Gnocchi Mac and Cheese

A delicious twist on classic mac and cheese featuring gnocchi and turkey bacon.

  • 1 pound gnocchi
  • 4 ounces turkey bacon
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup milk
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Cook the turkey bacon in a skillet until crispy, then chop.
  3. In a saucepan, melt butter over medium heat and whisk in flour, cooking for 1 minute.
  4. Slowly add milk, whisking until thickened.
  5. Stir in garlic powder, salt, pepper, and half of the cheese.
  6. Combine the gnocchi, bacon, and cheese sauce in a baking dish.
  7. Top with remaining cheese and bake for 20 minutes.

Notes

  • For a vegetarian version, omit the turkey bacon.
  • Add vegetables like spinach or broccoli for extra nutrition.
